Aitareya Upanishad

The Aitareya Upanishad belongs to the Rigveda and is part of the Aitareya Aranyaka. In three chapters, it describes the creation of the universe from the Self, the birth of the individual soul, and the nature of consciousness (Prajnanam Brahma — 'Consciousness is Brahman'), one of the four Mahavakyas.
