Aitareya Upanishad 3.4

बीजानीतराणि चेतराणि चाण्डजानि च जारुजानि च स्वेदजानि चोद्भिज्जानि च | अश्वा गावः पुरुषा हस्तिनो यत्किञ्चेदं प्राणि जङ्गमं च पतत्रि च यच्च स्थावरम् | सर्वं तत्प्रज्ञानेत्रम् प्रज्ञाने प्रतिष्ठितम् ॥

bijanitarani chetarani chandajani cha jarujani cha svedajani chodbhijjani cha | ashva gavah purusha hastino yat kinched idam prani jangamam cha patatri cha yach cha sthavaram | sarvam tat prajnanetram prajnane pratishthitam ||

— and all these creatures, diverse in seed and birth, born of eggs, born of wombs, born of moisture, born of the earth; horses, cows, men, elephants, whatever breathes, whatever moves, whatever flies, and whatever is still — all that is guided by consciousness, is founded on consciousness.

विभिन्न प्रकार के बीज — अण्डज, जारुज (गर्भज), स्वेदज और उद्भिज्ज; अश्व, गौ, पुरुष, हस्ती, तथा जो कुछ भी यह प्राणी-जात — चलने वाला, उड़ने वाला और स्थावर — वह सब प्रज्ञान से ही दिशा पाता है, प्रज्ञान में ही प्रतिष्ठित है।
