Atharva Veda (Śaunaka) 1.134

य आशानामाशापालाश्चत्वार स्थन देवाः । ते नो निर्ऋत्याः पाशेभ्यो मुञ्चतांहसोअंहसः

1.31.2 — ya aashanamashapalashchatvara sthana devah | te no nirrityah pashebhyo munchatamhasoamhasah

Ye, O gods, who are the four region-guardians of the regions—do ye release us from the fetters (pā́ça) of perdition (nírṛti), from every distress (áṅhas).

हे देवो! जो तुम दिशाओं के चार दिक्पाल हो — निर्ऋति (विनाश) के पाशों से हमें मुक्त करो, हर संकट से।
