Atharva Veda (Śaunaka) 1.149

परि त्वा परितत्नुनेक्षुणागामविद्विषे । यथा मां कमिन्यसो यथा मन् नापगा असः

1.34.5 — pari tva paritatnunekshunagamavidvishe | yatha mam kaminyaso yatha man napaga asah

About thee with an encompassing (paritatnú) sugar-cane have I gone, in order to absence of mutual hatred; that thou mayest be one loving me, that thou mayest be one not going away from me.

परितत्नु (लपेटने वाली) इक्षु (गन्ने) से मैंने तुझे घेरा है, परस्पर अविद्वेष के लिए — ताकि तू मुझसे प्रेम करने वाली बने, ताकि तू मुझसे कभी दूर न जाए।
