Atharva Veda (Śaunaka) 1.151

नैनं रक्षांसि न पिशाचाः सहन्ते देवानामोजः प्रथमजं ह्येतत्। यो बिभर्ति दाक्षायणं हिरण्यं स जीवेषु कृणुते दीर्घमायुः

1.35.2 — nainam rakshamsi na pishachah sahante devanamojah prathamajam hyetat| yo bibharti dakshayanam hiranyam sa jiveshu krinute dirghamayuh

Not demons, not piçācás overcome him, for this is the first-born force of the gods; whoso bears the gold of the descendants of Dakṣa, he makes for himself long life among the living.

न राक्षस, न पिशाच इसे सह सकते — क्योंकि यह देवों का प्रथम-जन्मा ओज है। जो दाक्षायण स्वर्ण धारण करता है, वह जीवितों में दीर्घायु प्राप्त करता है।
