Atharva Veda (Śaunaka) 1.77

शतस्य धमनीनां सहस्रस्य हिराणाम् । अस्थुरिन् मध्यमा इमाः साकमन्ता अरंसत

1.17.3 — shatasya dhamaninam sahasrasya hiranam | asthurin madhyama imah sakamanta aramsata

Of the hundred tubes, of the thousand veins, have stopped forsooth these midmost ones; the ends have rested (ram) together.

सौ धमनियों में से, सहस्र शिराओं में से — ये बीच वाली रुक गईं; उनके सिरे एक साथ शान्त हो गए।
