Atharva Veda (Śaunaka) 1.96

परि त्वा रोहितैर्वर्णैर्दीर्घायुत्वाय दध्मसि । यथायमरपा असदथो अहरितो भुवत्

1.22.2 — pari tva rohitairvarnairdirghayutvaya dadhmasi | yathayamarapa asadatho aharito bhuvat

With red colors we enclose thee, in order to length of life; that this man may be free from complaints (-rápas), also may become not yellow.

लाल वर्णों से हम तुझे दीर्घायु के लिए आच्छादित करते हैं — ताकि यह पुरुष रोग-रहित हो, और पीलिया से मुक्त हो।
