Brahma Sutras — Chapter 11: Sadhana Pada 3 — Gunavidya

66 verses

Verse 1

The meditations scattered across all Vedantic texts are to be combined, because there is no difference in the injunction and other factors.

Verse 2

If it be said that the meditations differ, we say no, because even within one recension they occur.

Verse 3

When the study is the same, because of the practice, qualification, and because like the Soma sacrifice, that is the rule.

Verse 4

And scripture shows this.

Verse 5

The combination is justified because of the non-difference of meaning, like the subsidiary of an injunction, and because the meditation is the same.
