Brahma Sutras 12.2

शेषत्वात्पुरुषार्थवादो यथान्येष्विति जैमिनिः ॥

sheshatvat purusha-artha-vado yathanyeshv iti jaiminih

Jaimini holds that the declaration of the human purpose is subsidiary to works, as in other cases.

जैमिनि का मत है — पुरुषार्थ-वाद कर्म का शेषभाग है, जैसा अन्य स्थलों पर है।
