Brahma Sutras 3.34

शुगस्य तदनादरश्रवणात्तदाद्रवणात्सूच्यते हि ॥

shug asya tad-anadara-shravanat tad-adravanaat suchyate hi

The grief of the individual self is indicated by the disregard and the running toward Brahman described in scripture.

उसका (जीव का) शोक [उल्लिखित है], [क्योंकि उस ब्रह्म के प्रति] अनादर का श्रवण होने से और उसकी ओर दौड़ने से — यह सूचित होता है ॥
