Brahma Sutras 3.36

संस्कारपरामर्शात्तदभावाभिलापाच्च ॥

samskara-paramarshaat tad-abhava-abhilapach cha

Because of the reference to purificatory ceremonies and the declaration of their absence.

संस्कार [= शुद्धिकर्म] के परामर्श और उसके अभाव के कथन से [भी यही सिद्ध होता है] ॥
