Brahma Sutras 4.1

आनुमानिकमप्येकेषामिति चेन्न शरीररूपकविन्यस्तगृहीतेर्दर्शयति च ॥

anumanikam apy ekesham iti chen na sharira-rupaka-vinyasta-grihiter darshayati cha

If it be said that the Sankhya pradhana is mentioned in some recensions, we say no, because what is taken as the description of the pradhana is merely a figurative description of the body, and the scripture also shows this.

यदि [कहा जाए कि] कुछ [वेद-शाखाओं में] सांख्य-अनुमानिक [प्रधान का] उल्लेख है — तो नहीं, क्योंकि [वह] शरीर-रूपक में स्थापित [अर्थ] के रूप में ग्रहण होता है, और [श्रुति] यह दिखाती भी है ॥
