Brahma Sutras 4.11

न संख्योपसंग्रहादपि नानाभावादतिरेकाच्च ॥

na sankhya-upasangrahad api nana-bhavad atirekach cha

The pradhana is not meant, even though enumeration is found, because of the diversity, and because of the excess.

[प्रधान] संख्या-गणना में आने से भी नहीं [है], [क्योंकि वहाँ] अनेक भाव हैं और [प्रधान से] अतिरिक्त [तत्त्व] भी हैं ॥
