Brahma Sutras 5.23

अश्मादिवच्च तदनुपपत्तिः ॥

ashmadivach cha tad-anupapattih

And as in the case of stone and others, the impossibility of that (consciousness arising from matter).

और [चेतन ब्रह्म के बिना] पाषाण आदि [जड़ वस्तु] जैसी उस [सृष्टि] की अनुपपत्ति (असम्भावना) है ॥
