Brahma Sutras 5.35

न कर्माविभागादिति चेन्नानादित्वात् ॥

na karma-avibhagad iti chen na anaditvat

If it be said that karma cannot exist before creation when there are no distinctions, we say no, because of the beginninglessness of creation.

यदि [कहो] "कर्म का विभाग (भेद) न होने से [सृष्टि के पूर्व कर्म-निरपेक्ष-सृष्टि असम्भव है]" — [तो] नहीं, क्योंकि [संसार-प्रवाह] अनादि है ॥
