Brahma Sutras 5.8

अपीतौ तद्वत्प्रसङ्गादसमञ्जसम् ॥

apitau tadvat-prasangat asamanjasam

If Brahman undergoes transformation, there would be the fault of return to Brahman, making the teaching incoherent.

[यदि कहो कि ब्रह्म कारण-कार्य भाव से] अपीत (लय) होता है, तो उसी प्रकार [ब्रह्म में पुनः लीन होने का] प्रसंग उत्पन्न होगा — [यह पक्ष] असमञ्जस (असंगत) होगा ॥
