Brahma Sutras 6.19

इतरेतरप्रत्ययत्वादिति चेन्नोत्पत्तिमात्रनिमित्तत्वात् ॥

itaretara-pratyayatvad iti chen na utpatti-matra-nimittatvat

If it be said that things depend on each other, we say no, because it merely accounts for the origin.

यदि [कहो] "परस्पर [= क्षण-क्षण] प्रत्यय (= निमित्तकारण) होने से [सृष्टि चलती है]" — [तो] नहीं, क्योंकि [यह] केवल उत्पत्ति-मात्र का निमित्त [बताता है, स्थायी सत्ता को नहीं] ॥
