Brahma Sutras 7.1

न वियदश्रुतेः ॥

na viyad ashruteh

Akasha is not created, because there is no scriptural statement to that effect.

[जगत्-सृष्टि-क्रम में] आकाश (= खगोलीय व्योम) की [उत्पत्ति] नहीं [मानी जाती], क्योंकि [उसकी सृष्टि का] श्रुति-वचन नहीं [है] ॥
