Brahma Sutras 7.16

नात्मा श्रुतेर्नित्यत्वाच्च ताभ्यः ॥

na atma shruter nityatvach cha tabhyah

The self is not created, because of the scripture and because of the eternality stated in them.

आत्मा (= जीव) [की सृष्टि] नहीं [मानी जाती], क्योंकि [उसकी] श्रुति [वहाँ है] और उन्हीं [श्रुतियों] से उसकी नित्यता [भी सिद्ध] है ॥
