Brahma Sutras 7.29
त एते प्राणास्तिस्रो वृत्तयः ॥
ta ete pranah tisro vrittayah
These pranas have three functions.
ये वे प्राण [हैं] जिनकी तीन वृत्तियाँ (= कार्य/क्रियाएँ) हैं ॥
Ancient wisdom, verse by verse.
