Brahma Sutras 7.31

अग्न्यादिगतिश्रुतेरिति चेन्न भाक्तत्वात् ॥

agny-adi-gati-shrutir iti chen na bhaktatvat

If the scriptural mention of the going of fire and others be cited, we say it is figurative.

यदि [कहो कि] "अग्नि आदि की गति [की] श्रुति [से जीव की गति नहीं सिद्ध होती]" — [तो] नहीं, क्योंकि [वह गति] भाक्त (= लाक्षणिक) है ॥
