Verse 1
But the Supreme Self's direction depends on the self's effort, because otherwise injunctions and prohibitions would become purposeless.
Verse 2
Because of the teaching about the Lord's sport.
Verse 3
There is no fixed rule, as in the case of perception.
Verse 4
Because of the reversal of power.
Verse 5
And because of the absence of samadhi otherwise.
