Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.21

ततो देवा अभवन् परासुरा अभवन् । भवत्यात्मना परास्य द्विषन्भ्रातृव्यो भवति य एवं वेद ॥

tato deva abhavan para asura abhavan | bhavaty atmana parasya dvishan bhratrivyo bhavati ya evam veda ||

Thereupon the gods rose and the Asuras fell. He who knows this rises through the self; his hateful rival is vanquished.

तब देवता विजयी हुए, असुर पराजित। जो इस प्रकार जानता है, वह आत्मा से उत्थान पाता है; उसका द्वेषी प्रतिस्पर्धी पराजित होता है।
