Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 2.24

अथामूर्तं वायुश्चान्तरिक्षं च एतदमृतम् एतद्यत् एतत्त्यत् | तस्यैतस्यामूर्तस्य एतस्यामृतस्य एतस्य यतः एतस्य त्यस्य एष रसो य एष एतस्मिन्मण्डले पुरुषः | त्यस्य ह्येष रसः | इत्यधिदैवतम् ॥

athaamurtam vayush chantariksham cha etad amritam etad yat etat tyat | tasyaitasyaamurtasya etasyaamritasya etasya yatah etasya tyasya esha raso ya esha etasmin mandale purushah | tyasya hyesha rasah | ity adhidaivatam ||

Now the formless: air and space. This is immortal, this is moving, this is the beyond (tya). The essence of the formless, the immortal, the moving, the beyond — is the being in the disc of the sun, for he is the essence of the beyond. This is with reference to the gods.

अमूर्त है — वायु और अन्तरिक्ष। यह अमृत, गतिशील और त्यत् (परे) है। उस अमूर्त, अमृत, गतिशील, त्यत् का रस — वह सूर्य-मण्डल में जो पुरुष है, वह है। वह त्यत् का रस है। यह अधिदैवत (देवता-दृष्टि से) कहा गया।
