Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 2.35

ब्रह्म तं परादाद्योऽन्यत्रात्मनो ब्रह्म वेद | क्षत्रं तं परादाद्योऽन्यत्रात्मनः क्षत्रं वेद | लोकास्तं पराददुर्योऽन्यत्रात्मनो लोकान्वेद | देवास्तं पराददुर्योऽन्यत्रात्मनो देवान्वेद | भूतानि तं पराददुर्योऽन्यत्रात्मनो भूतानि वेद | सर्वं तं परादाद्योऽन्यत्रात्मनः सर्वं वेद | इदं ब्रह्मेदं क्षत्रमिमे लोका इमे देवा इमानि भूतानीदं सर्वं यदयमात्मा ॥

brahma tam paradad yo'nyatratmano brahma veda | kshatram tam paradad yo'nyatratmanah kshatram veda | lokas tam paradadur yo'nyatratmano lokan veda | devas tam paradadur yo'nyatratmano devan veda | bhutani tam paradadur yo'nyatratmano bhutani veda | sarvam tam paradad yo'nyatratmanah sarvam veda | idam brahmedam kshatram ime loka ime deva imani bhutanidam sarvam yad ayam atma ||

'The Brahmana class rejects one who knows it as other than the Self. The Kshatriya class rejects one who knows it as other than the Self. The worlds reject one who knows them as other than the Self. The gods reject one who knows them as other than the Self. The beings reject one who knows them as other than the Self. All rejects one who knows it as other than the Self. This Brahmana class, this Kshatriya class, these worlds, these gods, these beings, all this — is the Self.'

'जो ब्रह्म को आत्मा से अलग जानता है — उसे ब्रह्म वर्ग त्याग देता है। जो क्षत्र को आत्मा से अलग जानता है — उसे क्षत्र वर्ग त्याग देता है। जो देवों को आत्मा से अलग जानता है — देव उसे त्याग देते हैं। जो भूतों को आत्मा से अलग जानता है — भूत उसे त्याग देते हैं। यह ब्राह्मणत्व, क्षात्रत्व, लोक, देव, भूत — यह सब वही आत्मा है।'
