Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 2.59

स वा अयमात्मा सर्वेषां भूतानामधिपतिः सर्वेषां भूतानां राजा | तद्यथा रथनाभौ च रथनेमौ चाराः सर्वे समर्पिताः एवमेवास्मिन्नात्मनि सर्वाणि भूतानि सर्वे देवाः सर्वे लोकाः सर्वे प्राणाः सर्व एत आत्मानः समर्पिताः ॥

sa va ayam atma sarvesham bhutanam adhipatih sarvesham bhutanam raja | tad yatha rathanabhau cha rathnemau charah sarve samarpitah evam evasmin natmani sarvani bhutani sarve devah sarve lokah sarve pranah sarva eta atmanah samarpitah ||

This Self is the lord of all beings, the king of all beings. Just as all the spokes are held together in the hub and rim of a wheel, so all beings, all gods, all worlds, all vital breaths, all these selves are held together in this Self.

वह यह आत्मा ही सर्वभूतों का अधिपति है, सर्वभूतों का राजा। जैसे रथ की नाभि में और धुरे में सब आरे अटे होते हैं — वैसे ही इस आत्मा में सब भूत, सब देव, सब लोक, सब प्राण, सब ये आत्माएँ अटी हुई हैं।
