Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.42

यश्चक्षुषि तिष्ठंश्चक्षुषोऽन्तरो यं चक्षुर्न वेद यस्य चक्षुः शरीरं यश्चक्षुरन्तरो यमयत्येष त आत्मान्तर्याम्यमृतः ॥

yash chakshushi tishthams chakshusho'ntaro yam chakshur na veda yasya chakshuh shariram yash chakshur antaro yamayaty esha ta atma antaryamy amritah ||

'He who dwells in the eye, yet is within the eye, whom the eye does not know, whose body the eye is, who controls the eye from within — he is your Self, the Inner Controller, the immortal.'

'जो चक्षु में रहता है, चक्षु के भीतर है, जिसे चक्षु नहीं जानती, जिसका शरीर चक्षु है, जो चक्षु को भीतर से नियन्त्रित करता है — वही तेरा आत्मा, अन्तर्यामी, अमृत है।'
