Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.43

यः श्रोत्रे तिष्ठन्श्रोत्रादन्तरो यं श्रोत्रं न वेद यस्य श्रोत्रं शरीरं यः श्रोत्रमन्तरो यमयत्येष त आत्मान्तर्याम्यमृतः ॥

yah shrotre tishthan shrotrad antaro yam shrotram na veda yasya shrotram shariram yah shrotram antaro yamayaty esha ta atma antaryamy amritah ||

'He who dwells in the ear, yet is within the ear, whom the ear does not know, whose body the ear is, who controls the ear from within — he is your Self, the Inner Controller, the immortal.'

'जो श्रोत्र में रहता है, श्रोत्र के भीतर है, जिसे श्रोत्र नहीं जानता, जिसका शरीर श्रोत्र है, जो श्रोत्र को भीतर से नियन्त्रित करता है — वही तेरा आत्मा, अन्तर्यामी, अमृत है।'
