Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.53

एतस्य वा अक्षरस्य प्रशासने गार्गि सूर्याचन्द्रमसौ विधृतौ तिष्ठतः | एतस्य वा अक्षरस्य प्रशासने गार्गि द्यावापृथिवौ विधृते तिष्ठतः ॥

etasya va aksharasya prashashane gargi suryachandramasau vidhritau tishtatah | etasya va aksharasya prashashane gargi dyavaprithivau vidhrite tishtatah ||

'Under the mighty rule of this Imperishable, O Gargi, the sun and the moon are held in their positions. Under the mighty rule of this Imperishable, O Gargi, heaven and earth are held in their positions.'

'गार्गि! इसी अक्षर के शासन से सूर्य और चन्द्रमा अपनी स्थितियों में स्थित हैं। इसी अक्षर के शासन से द्यौ और पृथिवी अपनी स्थितियों में स्थित हैं।'
