Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.6

केन यजमानो ब्रह्मणराप्तिमतिमुच्यत इति | ब्रह्मणा मनसा चन्द्रेण | मनो वै यज्ञस्य ब्रह्मा | तद्यदिदं मनः सोऽसौ चन्द्रः स ब्रह्मा सा मुक्तिः साऽतिमुक्तिः | इति मुक्तय एव एताः अतिमुक्तयः ॥

kena yajamano brahmanah aptim atimuchyata iti | brahmana manasa chandrena | mano vai yajnasya brahma | tad yad idam manah so'sau chandrah sa brahma sa muktih sa'timuktih | iti muktaya eva etah atimuktayah ||

'By what means does the sacrificer free himself from the reach of the brahman priest?' 'By the brahman, by the mind, by the moon. The mind is indeed the brahman of the sacrifice. That which is this mind is that moon, is the brahman, is liberation, is complete liberation.' These indeed are the liberations and complete liberations.

'किस उपाय से यजमान ब्रह्मा की पकड़ से छूटकर ऊपर उठता है?' 'ब्रह्मा के द्वारा, मन के द्वारा, चन्द्रमा के द्वारा। मन ही यज्ञ का ब्रह्मा है। यह जो मन है — वही वह चन्द्रमा है, वही ब्रह्मा है, वही मुक्ति है, वही अतिमुक्ति है।' — ये ही मुक्तियाँ और अतिमुक्तियाँ हैं।
