Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.65

कतम इन्द्रः कतमः प्रजापतिरिति | स्तनयित्नुरेवेन्द्रो यज्ञः प्रजापतिरिति | कतमः स्तनयित्नुरिति | अशनिरिति | कतमो यज्ञ इति | पशव इति ॥

katama indrah katamah prajapatir iti | stanayitnur evendro yajnah prajapatir iti | katamah stanayitnur iti | ashanir iti | katamo yajna iti | pashava iti ||

'Which is Indra? Which is Prajapati?' 'Thunder is Indra; the sacrifice is Prajapati.' 'Which is thunder?' 'The thunderbolt.' 'Which is the sacrifice?' 'The animals.'

'इन्द्र कौन है? प्रजापति कौन?' 'गर्जना ही इन्द्र है; यज्ञ ही प्रजापति है।' 'गर्जना क्या है?' 'अशनि (वज्र)।' 'यज्ञ क्या है?' 'पशु।'
