Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.66

कतमे षडिति | अग्निश्च पृथिवी च वायुश्चान्तरिक्षं चादित्यश्च द्यौश्चेति | एते षट् | एते हि सर्वं षडिति ॥

katame shad iti | agnish cha prithivi cha vayush chantariksham chadityash cha dyaush cheti | ete shat | ete hi sarvam shad iti ||

'Which are the six gods?' 'Fire, earth, wind, sky, sun, and heaven — these are the six. For these six constitute all the gods.'

'वे छह कौन हैं?' 'अग्नि, पृथिवी, वायु, अन्तरिक्ष, आदित्य और द्यौ — ये छह; क्योंकि इन्हीं छह में सब देव समाए हुए हैं।'
