Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.67

कतमे ते त्रयो देवा इति | इम एव त्रयो लोकाः | एषु हीमे सर्वे देवा इति | कतमौ तौ द्वौ देवाविति | अन्नं चैव प्राणश्चेति | कतमोऽध्यर्ध इति | यो अयं पवत इति ॥

katame te trayo deva iti | ima eva trayo lokah | eshu hime sarve deva iti | katamau tau dvau devav iti | annam chaiva pranash cheti | katamo'dhyardha iti | yo ayam pavata iti ||

'Which are the three gods?' 'These three worlds, for all the gods are contained in them.' 'Which are the two gods?' 'Food and breath.' 'Which is the one and a half?' 'He who purifies — the wind that blows.'

'वे तीन कौन हैं?' 'ये ही तीन लोक — क्योंकि इनमें सब देव हैं।' 'वे दो कौन हैं?' 'अन्न और प्राण।' 'वह डेढ़ कौन है?' 'जो यह बहता है — वायु।'
