Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.75

यदिदमुदीचीं दिशमनुसूर्यस्तपति किं तद्देवतमिति | सोम इति | कस्मिन्नु स सोम आयतन इति | दीक्षायामिति | कस्मिन्नु दीक्षायतना इति | सत्ये इति | तस्माद्दीक्षितमाहुः सत्यं वदेति | सत्ये ह्येव दीक्षायतनमिति | कस्मिन्नु सत्यायतनमिति | हृदये इति होवाच | हृदयेन हि सत्यं जानातीति | हृदये ह्येव सत्यायतनमिति | एवमेतद्याज्ञवल्क्येति ॥

yad idam udichim disham anu suryas tapati kim tad devatam iti | soma iti | kasminn u sa soma ayatana iti | dikshayam iti | kasminn u dikshayatana iti | satye iti | tasmad dikshitam ahuh satyam vadeti | satye hy eva dikshayatanam iti | kasminn u satyayatanam iti | hridaye iti hovacha | hridayena hi satyam janatiti | hridaye hy eva satyayatanam iti | evam etad yajnavalkyeti ||

'When the sun illumines the northern quarter, what is its deity?' 'Soma.' 'In what is Soma established?' 'In initiation.' 'In what is initiation established?' 'In truth. Therefore they say to the initiated: speak the truth. Truth is indeed the abode of initiation.' 'In what is truth established?' 'In the heart,' he said, 'for through the heart one knows truth. The heart is indeed the abode of truth.' 'Just so, Yajnavalkya.'

'उत्तर दिशा की ओर सूर्य जो तपता है, उसकी देवता क्या है?' 'सोम।' 'सोम किसमें प्रतिष्ठित है?' 'दीक्षा में।' 'दीक्षा किसमें?' 'सत्य में — इसीलिए दीक्षित से कहा जाता है: 'सत्य बोल।' सत्य ही दीक्षा का आयतन है।' 'सत्य किसमें?' 'हृदय में,' उन्होंने कहा, 'क्योंकि हृदय से ही सत्य का ज्ञान होता है। हृदय ही सत्य का आयतन है।' 'ऐसा ही है, याज्ञवल्क्य।'
