Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 4.43

तदेष श्लोको भवति — यदा सर्वे प्रमुच्यन्ते कामा येऽस्य हृदि श्रिताः अथ मर्त्योऽमृतो भवत्यत्र ब्रह्म समश्नुते ॥

tadesha shloko bhavati — yadaa sarve pramuchyante kaamaa ye'sya hridi shritaah atha martyo'mrito bhavaty atra brahma samashnute

On this there is this verse: 'When all the desires that dwell in the heart are cast away, then the mortal becomes immortal and attains Brahman here itself.'

इस विषय में यह श्लोक है — 'जब उसके हृदय में स्थित सब कामनाएँ छूट जाती हैं, तब यह मर्त्य अमृत हो जाता है — और यहीं ब्रह्म को प्राप्त कर लेता है।'
