Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 4.47

तस्मिन्शुक्लमुत नीलमाहुः पिङ्गलं हरितं लोहितं च एष पन्था ब्रह्मणा हानुवित्तः तेनैति ब्रह्मवित्पुण्यकृत्तैजसश्च ॥

tasmin shulkam uta niilam aahuh pingalam haritam lohitam cha esha panthaa brahmanaa haanuvittah tenaiti brahmavit punyakrit taijasash cha

'In it they say there is white, blue, yellow, green, and red. This path was found by Brahma. By it goes the knower of Brahman, the doer of good, and the radiant one.'

'उसमें श्वेत, नील, पिङ्गल, हरित और लोहित (रंगों) की बात कही जाती है। यह वह मार्ग है जो ब्रह्म ने जाना है। उसी से ब्रह्मवित्, पुण्यकर्ता और तेजस्वी जाता है।'
