Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 4.68

ब्रह्म तं परादाद्यो अन्यत्रात्मनो ब्रह्म वेद क्षत्रं तं परादाद्यो अन्यत्रात्मनः क्षत्रं वेद लोकास्तं परादुर्यो अन्यत्रात्मनो लोकान्वेद देवास्तं परादुर्यो अन्यत्रात्मनो देवान्वेद भूतानि तं परादुर्यो अन्यत्रात्मनो भूतानि वेद सर्वं तं परादाद्यो अन्यत्रात्मनः सर्वं वेद ॥

brahma tam paraadaad yo anyatraatmano brahma veda kshatram tam paraadaad yo anyatraatmanah kshatram veda lokaastam paraadur yo anyatraatmano lokaan veda devaastam paraadur yo anyatraatmano devaan veda bhuutani tam paraadur yo anyatraatmano bhuutani veda sarvam tam paraadaad yo anyatraatmanah sarvam veda

'The Brahmana-hood deserts him who knows the Brahmana as other than the Self. The Kshatriya-hood deserts him who knows the Kshatriya as other than the Self. The worlds desert him who knows the worlds as other than the Self. The gods desert him who knows the gods as other than the Self. The beings desert him who knows the beings as other than the Self. Everything deserts him who knows everything as other than the Self.'

'जो ब्रह्म को आत्मा से अन्य जानता है — ब्रह्म उसका त्याग कर देता है। जो क्षत्र को आत्मा से अन्य जानता है — क्षत्र उसका त्याग करता है। जो लोकों को आत्मा से अन्य जानता है — लोक उसका त्याग करते हैं। जो देवों को आत्मा से अन्य जानता है — देव उसका त्याग करते हैं। जो प्राणियों को आत्मा से अन्य जानता है — प्राणी उसका त्याग करते हैं। जो सब को आत्मा से अन्य जानता है — सब उसका त्याग करते हैं।'
