Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 6.52

अथ य इच्छेद् गर्भं दधीतेति, तस्या अर्थमुपस्थे निधाय, प्राणेनापानं सन्ध्यायति — गर्भम् अधत्स्वेति; गर्भिणी ह भवति ॥

atha ya ichchhedgarbham dadhiiteti, tasyaa arthamupasthe nidhaaya, praanenaapaanam sandhyaayati — garbham adhatsveti; garbhinii ha bhavati

If he desires that she should conceive, having united with her, he should breathe out, then breathe in, saying, 'I deposit the seed in you.' Thus she conceives.

यदि कोई इच्छा करे कि वह गर्भ धारण करे, तो उसके उपस्थ में अपना अंग रखकर प्राण से अपान को सन्धित करे — ‘तुझ में गर्भ स्थापित करता हूँ।’ इस प्रकार वह गर्भिणी हो जाती है।
