Chandogya Upanishad 1.17

यथाश्मानमाखणमृत्वा विध्वꣳ सत एवꣳ हैव स विध्वꣳसते य एवंविदि पापं कामयते यश्चैनमभिदासति स एषोऽश्माखणः ॥ ८ ॥

1.2.8 — yathashmanamakhanamritva vidhvam sata evam haiva sa vidhvamsate ya evamvidi papam kamayate yashchainamabhidasati sa esho'shmakhanah || 8 ||

Thus, as a ball of earth is scattered when hitting on a solid stone, will he be scattered who wishes evil to one who knows this, or who persecutes him; for he is a solid stone.

जैसे आखण (ठोस) पत्थर से टकराकर ढेला विध्वस्त हो जाता है, वैसे ही वह पुरुष विध्वस्त हो जाता है जो इस प्रकार के ज्ञानी का अनिष्ट चाहता है अथवा उस पर आक्रमण करता है; क्योंकि वह ज्ञानी अब स्वयं आखण-पाषाण-तुल्य हो चुका है।
