Chandogya Upanishad 1.3

स एष रसानाꣳ रसतमः परमः परार्ध्योऽष्टमो यदुद्गीथः ॥ ३ ॥

1.1.3 — sa esha rasanam rasatamah paramah parardhyo'shtamo yadudgithah || 3 ||

That udgîtha (Om) is the best of all essences, the highest, deserving the highest place, the eighth.

वह उद्गीथ समस्त रसों में रसतम, परम, परार्ध्य तथा आठवाँ है।
