Chandogya Upanishad 1.59

स एष ये चैतस्मादर्वाञ्चो लोकास्तेषां चेष्टे मनुष्यकामानां चेति तद्य इमे वीणायां गायन्त्येतं ते गायन्ति तस्मात्ते धनसनयः ॥ ६ ॥

1.7.6 — sa esha ye chaitasmadarvancho lokastesham cheshte manushyakamanam cheti tadya ime vinayam gayantyetam te gayanti tasmatte dhanasanayah || 6 ||

He is lord of the worlds beneath that (the self in the eye), and of all the wishes of men. Therefore all who sing to the vînâ (lyre), sing him, and from him also they obtain wealth.

वह इस लोक से अर्वाचीन (निचले) जितने लोक हैं उनका और मनुष्य-सम्बन्धी कामनाओं का अधीश्वर है। जो वीणा पर गाते हैं, वे भी उसी का गान करते हैं — इसी कारण उन्हें धन-प्राप्ति होती है।
