Chandogya Upanishad 1.60

अथ य एतदेवं विद्वान्साम गायत्युभौ स गायति सोऽमुनैव स एष ये चामुष्मात्पराञ्चो लोकास्ताꣳ श्चाप्नोति देवकामास्ताꣳ श्च ॥ ७ ॥

1.7.7 — atha ya etadevam vidvansama gayatyubhau sa gayati so'munaiva sa esha ye chamushmatparancho lokastam shchapnoti devakamastam shcha || 7 ||

He who knowing this sings a Sâman, sings to both (the adhidaivata and adhyâtma self, the person in the sun and the person in the eye, as one and the same person). He obtains through the one, yea, he obtains the worlds beyond that, and the wishes of the Devas;

जो यह जानकर साम-गान करता है, वह दोनों का — अधिदैवत (सूर्यस्थ) और अध्यात्म (नेत्रस्थ) — एक साथ गान करता है; और उसी के द्वारा वह उस पार के लोकों और देव-कामनाओं को प्राप्त करता है।
