Chandogya Upanishad 2.29

अथ खल्वात्मसंमितमतिमृत्यु सप्तविधꣳ सामोपासीत हिङ्कार इति त्र्यक्षरं प्रस्ताव इति त्र्यक्षरं तत्समम् ॥ १ ॥

2.10.1 — atha khalvatmasammitamatimrityu saptavidham samopasita hinkara iti tryaksharam prastava iti tryaksharam tatsamam || 1 ||

Next let a man meditate on the sevenfold Sâman which is uniform in itself and leads beyond death. The word hinkâra has three syllables, the word prastâva has three syllables: that is equal (sama).

अब आत्म-सम्मित (अपने-आप में समरूप) और मृत्यु को पार करने वाले सप्तविध साम की उपासना। 'हिङ्कार' शब्द त्र्यक्षर है, 'प्रस्ताव' शब्द भी त्र्यक्षर — अतः वे सम हैं।
