Chandogya Upanishad 2.51

लोम हिङ्कारस्त्वक्प्रस्तावो माꣳसमुद्गीथोस्थि प्रतिहारो मज्जा निधनमेतद्यज्ञायज्ञीयमङ्गेषु प्रोतम् ॥ १ ॥

2.19.1 — loma hinkarastvakprastavo mamsamudgithosthi pratiharo majja nidhanametadyajnayajniyamangeshu protam || 1 ||

The hinkâra is hair, the prastâva skin, the udgîtha flesh, the pratihâra bone, the nidhana marrow. That is the Yagñâyagñîya Sâman, as interwoven in the members of the body.

रोम हिङ्कार है, त्वक् प्रस्ताव, मांस उद्गीथ, अस्थि प्रतिहार, मज्जा निधन — यह यज्ञायज्ञीय-साम है, अङ्गों में अनुस्यूत।
