Chandogya Upanishad 3.25

स यावदादित्यः पुरस्तादुदेता पश्चादस्तमेता द्विस्तावद्दक्षिणत उदेतोत्तरतोऽस्तमेता रुद्राणामेव तावदाधिपत्यꣳस्वाराज्यं पर्येता ॥ ४ ॥

3.7.4 — sa yavadadityah purastadudeta pashchadastameta dvistavaddakshinata udetottarato'stameta rudranameva tavadadhipatyamsvarajyam paryeta || 4 ||

So long as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, twice as long does it rise in the south and set in the north; and so long does he follow the sovereign supremacy of the Rudras.

जब तक आदित्य पूर्व में उदय और पश्चिम में अस्त होता है, उससे दुगुने समय तक वह दक्षिण में उदय और उत्तर में अस्त होता है; तब तक वह रुद्रों के आधिपत्य तथा स्वराज्य को प्राप्त रहता है।
