Chandogya Upanishad 3.29

अथ यच्चतुर्थममृतं तन्मरुत उपजीवन्ति सोमेन मुखेन न वै देवा अश्नन्ति न पिबन्त्येतदेवामृतं दृष्ट्वा तृप्यन्ति ॥ १ ॥

3.9.1 — atha yachchaturthamamritam tanmaruta upajivanti somena mukhena na vai deva ashnanti na pibantyetadevamritam drishtva tripyanti || 1 ||

On the fourth of these nectars the Maruts live, with Soma at their head. True, the Devas do not eat or drink, but they enjoy by seeing the nectar.

अब जो चौथा अमृत (परम कृष्ण रस) है, उस पर सोम को मुख बनाकर मरुद्गण जीवन धारण करते हैं। सचमुच देव न खाते हैं, न पीते हैं; वे इस अमृत को देख कर ही तृप्त हो जाते हैं।
