Chandogya Upanishad 3.33

अथ यत्पञ्चमममृतं तत्साध्या उपजीवन्ति ब्रह्मणा मुखेन न वै देवा अश्नन्ति न पिबन्त्येतदेवामृतं दृष्ट्वा तृप्यन्ति ॥ १ ॥

3.10.1 — atha yatpanchamamamritam tatsadhya upajivanti brahmana mukhena na vai deva ashnanti na pibantyetadevamritam drishtva tripyanti || 1 ||

On the fifth of these nectars the Sâdhyas live, with Brahman at their head. True, the Devas do not eat or drink, but they enjoy by seeing the nectar.

अब जो पाँचवाँ अमृत (मध्य-क्षोभरूप रस) है, उस पर ब्रह्मा को मुख बनाकर साध्य-गण जीवन धारण करते हैं। सचमुच देव न खाते हैं, न पीते हैं; वे इस अमृत को देख कर ही तृप्त हो जाते हैं।
