Chandogya Upanishad 3.82

आदित्प्रत्नस्य रेतसः । उद्वयन्तमसस्परि ज्योतिः पश्यन्त उत्तरꣳस्वः पश्यन्त उत्तरं देवं देवत्रा सूर्यमगन्म ज्योतिरुत्तममिति ज्योतिरुत्तममिति ॥ ७ ॥

3.17.7 — aaditpratnasya retasah | udvayantamasaspari jyotih pashyanta uttaramsvah pashyanta uttaram devam devatra suryamaganma jyotiruttamamiti jyotiruttamamiti || 7 ||

'Then they see (within themselves) the everpresent light of the old seed (of the world, the Sat), the highest, which is lighted in the brilliant (Brahman)." Rig-veda I, 50, 10:—

'आदित्य से — जो सनातन-रेतस् (प्राचीन बीज) का है — अन्धकार से परे रहकर उसकी ज्योति का दर्शन करते हुए, उस परम देव को देवों के बीच देवत्व के साथ सूर्य-रूप में हम परम ज्योति को प्राप्त करें — हाँ, परम ज्योति को।'
