Chandogya Upanishad 3.91

अथ यत्तदजायत सोऽसावादित्यस्तं जायमानं घोषा उलूलवोऽनूदतिष्ठन्त्सर्वाणि च भूतानि सर्वे च कामास्तस्मात्तस्योदयं प्रति प्रत्यायनं प्रति घोषा उलूलवोऽनूत्तिष्ठन्ति सर्वाणि च भूतानि सर्वे च कामाः ॥ ३ ॥

3.19.3 — atha yattadajayata so'savadityastam jayamanam ghosha ululavo'nudatishthantsarvani cha bhutani sarve cha kamastasmattasyodayam prati pratyayanam prati ghosha ululavo'nuttishthanti sarvani cha bhutani sarve cha kamah || 3 ||

And what was born from it that was Âditya, the sun. When he was born shouts of hurrah arose, and all beings arose, and all things which they desired. Therefore whenever the sun rises and sets, shouts of hurrah arise, and all beings arise, and all things which they desire.

उससे जो उत्पन्न हुआ वही यह आदित्य है। उसके उत्पन्न होते समय हर्ष-नाद तथा जय-जयकार के स्वर उठे, समस्त भूत तथा समस्त कामनाएँ उठीं। इसीलिए उसके उदय तथा प्रत्यागमन पर हर्ष-नाद तथा जय-जयकार के स्वर उठते हैं, सब भूत उठते हैं, सब कामनाएँ उठती हैं।
