Chandogya Upanishad 4.29

स य एतमेवं विद्वाꣳश्चतुष्कलं पादं ब्रह्मणः प्रकाशवानित्युपास्ते प्रकाशवानस्मिꣳल्लोके भवति प्रकाशवतो ह लोकाञ्जयति य एतमेवं विद्वाꣳश्चतुष्कलं पादं ब्रह्मणः प्रकाशवानित्युपास्ते ॥ ३ ॥

4.5.3 — sa ya etamevam vidvamshchatushkalam padam brahmanah prakashavanityupaste prakashavanasmimlloke bhavati prakashavato ha lokanjayati ya etamevam vidvamshchatushkalam padam brahmanah prakashavanityupaste || 3 ||

'He who knows this and meditates on the foot of Brahman, consisting of four quarters, by the name of Prakâsavat, becomes endowed with splendour in this world. He conquers the resplendent worlds, whoever knows this and meditates on the foot of Brahman, consisting of the four quarters, by the name of Prakâsavat.

जो इस प्रकार जानकर चार-कला वाले ब्रह्म-पाद की 'प्रकाशवान्' के रूप में उपासना करता है, वह इस लोक में प्रकाशवान् होता है; वह प्रकाश-युक्त लोकों को जीत लेता है — जो इस चार-कला ब्रह्म-पाद की 'प्रकाशवान्' के रूप में उपासना करता है।
